Last Day in Cancun

Friday we enjoyed the beach as much as we could!  David did a lot of swimming in the ocean, I tried to get as much sun as I could!  I was also starting to feel sick this day.  I felt motion sick most of the day and the food and smells all around me were making me nauseous!  We went down to the mall again and we watched “The Hunger Games 2” at the movies.  It was nice to go to the movie, on it’s opening day and not have it be all sold out!  Then we walked around a little bit trying to decide on where to eat.  We finally decided on “Johnny Rockets”.  Just what I need to make me feel better!  Burger, fries and an oreo malt shake!  Yummy!  Unfortunately it didn’t sit well and I was up every half hour that night because of it!

We were picked up Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. to take us to the airport.  I was still feeling nauseous and not until we landed in Georgia did I start feeling a little better.  David said I was homesick, I think I was motion sick and ate some things that were making me sick.  But whatever it was I am glad that it didn’t last long!  We got to SLC at 9 pm where David’s dad picked us up.  There were hugs waiting at the door when we got home.  The kids missed us so much!  I missed them a lot too but had such a blast!  Jenna was asleep when we got home in her bed.  I told David I was hoping she would wake up in the middle of the night and come in to my bed so I could snuggle her!  She didn’t so I got plenty of snuggles the next day!

What a trip!  I can’t wait to do another one again someday!!

Our New Family Pictures

I have been on the hunt for a really good photographer for a long time here and there.  And I think I found one that did everything I wanted.  First, she comes and looks at the feel of your home.  For us I just sent pictures of our living room where I wanted the pictures placed.  Then she suggests colors to wear and sent pictures back with our room and picture placements she puts on the walls.  And with 5 kids, especially Jenna, you really have to photo shop A LOT!!  Almost every photo with Jenna she had to photo shop.  She did amazing!!  I was so nervous when we went over and viewed our pictures at her house.  As David put it after our photo shoot “She has to be a magician to get anything good out of that!  That was a disaster!”  After looking at our proofs I said, “well, you are a magician!”  And David said after leaving and climbing in our car to go home “That was worth every penny.”  Success! How close have you been to a Prophet?

David, and two other guys he works with, were invited to the Jazz game last Friday night. I have come to find out as a construction wife, to get business, you gotta play A LOT ! Here is a short list, not limited to, of what I mean by "play": Golfing (about 3 times a week-depending on the week and in warm weather of course) Snow skiing (about 2 times a week, again this depends on the week and when there's snow) Fancy dinners (this can also be counted as lunch, which happens more than I know I'm sure!) Executive Retreats (this will be happening in February for about 5 days in AZ, which will have all 5 days full of golfing, guaranteed!!) Jazz games (again, when in season) I don't know about you, but I think I'm in the wrong career!! This house wife things just does not include ANY of those benefits!! TRIALS

We have been preparing for over 4 years for this trial. But nothing, no matter how much you knew it could and most likely would happen, can prepare you when your son's doctor tells you now is the time. "Your son needs open heart surgery." August 24th, 2005, Jason was born in Las Vegas, NV. He was perfect and healthy looking in every way. At his 2 week check up the doctor heard a heart murmur and recommended I take him to the cardiologist. I mentioned that I was flying out to WA in a few days and so I'd probably go when I got back, 3 weeks later. The cardiologist doctor called me the next day after visiting with the pediatrician, asking me to go in to have Jason checked out. It was late and he was willing to stay after hours for us to get there. After an ultra sound of his heart (echo) the cardiologist diagnosed Jason with a very small hole in his heart. Nothing that needed to be fixed right away, unless it started causing problems. So Jason started going every 3 month
