One Month

Image
Jenna is one month old today. She is changing and growing everyday! She is just about the sweetest thing ever! We love her so much and the kids just adore her! Melanie is my biggest help ever! Cameron will hold Jenna when I ask him and he does great, but Melanie definitely has the motherly instincts. The kids let me take a nap late in the afternoon yesterday with Jenna (much needed). I didn't wake up until 6, dinner time. Before I started dinner I took the last load of clothes out of the dryer and Melanie offered to fold them while I made dinner. She is such a big help. She has folded a lot of clothes while being off track. It really is so nice for me! David made the comment last night that when Melanie holds Jenna she looks like a teenager. She just takes it in stride and is a natural with her! This is Jenna's sad face. She still likes to be held when she is awake! She is getting a little better and hopefully in a couple of weeks will be able to be more happy and

CrAzY, insane, OCD

Take your pick. Rewind to October, 2009. I am looking online for blessing dresses to get ideas to make one. Well, I find it. The perfect one that I fell in LOVE with! It was at JCPenney's. So I took a picture on my phone and went to LOTS of stores with the picture to find the fabric. I guess I should take note for myself that this is the 2nd time seeing a fabric online and not being able to find it. The first being the Strawberry Short Cake costume. Obviously JoAnn's doesn't have the "specialty" fabric I am looking for. I DID find the same idea in the home decor fabrics, but there wasn't any in white. You couldn't even special order in white. So I got side tracked with making stockings for Christmas. It curbed my sewing crave for the time. Christmas came and went. Jenna is here. I have never sewed a blessing outfit AFTER my babies have been born. I am so excited I have always had them done way before! I never will do it after again, if the

The craziness at times. Well, as many know having a new baby really throws you off! Who knows when I will be back on to a schedule and accomplishing anything during the day. Yesterday when I dropped off the kids at my neighbors house before going to the dentist, Jason had his pants on backwards, shoes on the wrong feet, Alyssa's skirt was on backwards, her favorite shoes that were 2 sizes to big on and hair not even combed. Yes, just getting out of the house dressed at all is a great success these days even when it's 1 pm! Today is no exception to getting a lot done. By the time 1 pm rolled around today the breakfast dishes were still on the table. Lunch for the kids? Ummm, yeah not such a success either. And getting ready for the day is the last on the list if there isn't an appt. to go to. So you can guess how often that happens. Let's just say that Jenna is not such a happy baby when she is awake. I don't think any of my babies were though for the fir

A New Smile

Image
Melanie is walking around with a new smile today. Christmas Eve I found out Melanie's adult teeth on the bottom were coming in behind her baby teeth. Sad, sad. So today we made a trip to the dentist. They pulled 2 baby teeth out. One was already super wiggly and the other wasn't. So they only charged me to pull one which was good because they were $100 a tooth! Melanie did great. She was pretty nervous about it all before going in. But I think she is excited for the tooth fairy to come tonight! She is also getting her back molars already. The dentist said that is a little early for her age. I have to agree. Cameron just got his in! Jenna did great and slept the whole time there. Her cheeks are starting to fill out more. She will be in her 0-3 month clothes soon. Alyssa got to bring home these glasses from the neighbors when I picked her up after Melanie's appt. She likes them.

2 Week Check-Up

Jenna went in yesterday for her 2 week check up. weight: 8 lbs 3 ozs length: 20 1/4 inches head: 34.8 cm Jenna is my smallest baby at 2 weeks. I am hoping she stays small. It would be fun to have a petite baby.

Little Diggers Wrestling

Cameron is finishing up wrestling practices. He has been doing it since the middle of November at the Jordan High School in Sandy. Last year was his first year and he has improved a lot since then. He understands a lot more and is more aggressive. He really likes it too which makes a big difference. Doing back bends and neck rolls Stretching The head coach at the high school and he helps the young wrestlers. Don't you like that long goatie?! Wrestling under the spot light.

Taylor Swift

Melanie really loves Taylor Swift's songs. She got the cd in her stocking from Santa. The kids have loved dancing around with the music blaring in the house. I really like her songs too! And it's great exercise when it's cold outside!!

One Week Old

It feels like so much has happened in the last week, but at the same time like nothing really has happened. My parents left bright and early Wednesday morning, 3 am. I think they missed their own bed?! It was great to have them here and we really appreciated all that they did for our family. It's fun to get spoiled every now and then! David's parents came into town late Tuesday night from their vacation in WA. They left Wednesday morning before noon to lots of snow falling. They got to kiss on Jenna before they left and see what Santa brought the kids. David took off Wednesday and Thursday from work to help me at home. It was nice to be able to run to the store, catch a little nap or just have someone else to hand the baby to so I could take care of everything else a mom does during the day. Jenna has been a great baby so far. She is sleeping well at night. As good as a newborn does. The kids still love and adore their new sister. The new thing is to stand holding
