The Latest Around Here

There has been a lot going on and blogging hasn’t been one of them.  I looked at my pictures on my phone and realized I have a lot to share and record!  So here is a little bit that has been happening this fall. Sometimes we make a drive through downtown Provo.  The old Tabernacle is being renovated due to the fire that damaged it so bad and will soon be the newest Provo Temple.  I am so excited about this!  David had his graduation ceremony here from BYU for Construction Management.  We also had our Stake Conference’s here when we lived in our house in Provo.  So we went enough to have this mean something special to us.  The pillars that were on top are sitting on the ground.  It’s been amazing to be able to experience so many temples being built around us! Melanie has been begging to have a quilt.  We looked at buying one but she just couldn’t find anything she liked.  And I will admit that when we went and looked at bedding and I saw the poor quality that the fabric was I was als

Tough Mudder

Last Saturday David participated in the Tough Mudder with his co-workers Andy, Alex and Alex’s cousin (I don’t know his name).  It was COLD!!  They started at 10 AM and finished at 2 pm.  Tough Mudder is a 10 mile course with a lot of different obstacle courses along the way.  It is not a race to see who is fastest as much as it is to just finish.  And they all have to work as a team.  They started out in a cow pasture.  David said the ground was very uneven and so his ankles and knees hurt from that.  Also by mile 7 he said he felt like he was running on cement since his shoes were caked in mud.  Some of the obstacles included swimming across a large industrial size garbage can full of ice and water, crawling on your belly under electrical barbed wire.  There were 3 of those throughout the coarse.  He said it was a pretty strong shock!  And a few pictures show some more of the course.  David said he liked doing it.  I don’t think he loved it though!  He is so happy however to be in as
