Cameron's Baptism

Image
Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 9 am Cameron was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We are so proud of his decision to become a disciple of Christ! It was a very special day! Cameron was so lucky to have his Dad baptize him! Both sets of Grandparents were able to come! Other's in attendance were Ryan and Melissa's family, Chris and Andrea's family, Tony, Sandy and Shannon Sandberg and Brother and Sister Sperry (Cameron's Primary teachers). We had a big brunch with all the family after the baptism. It was great to all be together!! Thank you to everyone that came to support Cameron on his special day!

Curlers are so fun! Especially when you have a sister to do it with!

Mother's Day-Early

Image
When Alise came down this last time we snapped a few pictures together and gathered supplies for the gift we were going to give our Mom for Mother's Day. We didn't have time to put it all together since Alise's trip was short. And since she was going to Washington for a week and staying with Mom and Dad she just took it all with her and finished it there. Dad cut the wood down to size and then Alise finished the rest. Alise's last day there she gave it to Mom. Gifts are always funner when you see someone open them! "A Mother holds her daughter's hands for a while but their hearts forever." Happy Mother's Day Mom! We love you!!

Confession

This has bothered me for A LONG TIME. I think I realized it when I got married and moved into our own place. For many who have been to my house, know what I am talking about and would most likely agree with me on this one. I do not know how to decorate. I just don't have it in me. I look at a space and it overwhelms me with what to do. Now, I realize it takes money to decorate and I do have a little bit of tax return money that I want to use just for decorating. But I am overwhelmed with it and don't even know where to start! I want a beautiful picture of Christ and a beautiful picture of the temple and those are at least $200 each. We are going to buy a t.v. and mount it to the wall to keep all of the little finger prints off of it. But there is just so much wall space I don't know what to do with! I was not gifted in the decorating department! My homes have never felt like "home" to me. So, ladies...I need your help. Where do you start??

To Grandma and Grandpa's House

Image
Late Thursday night while David was talking to his parents, his dad asked him if we wanted to come to St. George for the weekend. We were on speaker phone and we looked at each other and said sure, why not? So Friday afternoon we left and got there about 8 o'clock that night! The kids had a slumber party on grandma and grandpa's bedroom floor. We celebrated Cameron's birthday party at Fiesta Fun Center. Cameron loved it! It was a fun afternoon with our family. Jason got a really bad bloody nose while on the bumper boats. It took about 20 mins . to finally get it to stop! Alyssa didn't like these cars to much. She was burnt out by this time and crying at every little thing. She was ready for a nap! Grandma took over and held Jenna so I could play with the kids. Easter pictures! We had such a great weekend. We also packed in to Saturday some shopping at both the mall and outlet mall, David and his dad attended the temple and David and I sneaked away for a date t

Spring T-Ball

Image
Spring T-Ball has started. Jason and Melanie are on the same team, which works out great for us in watching only one team but also good for Jason. With Melanie being there he is more comfortable on the field. It was so funny to watch 10 kids all run and jump on one ball, trying to be the one to get it. They were almost playing against their own teammates! Melanie was whispering to Jason of how to get the ball. They finally realized that if they were the ones closest to the tee, than the chances of getting the ball was greater! Sitting in line waiting for their turn to bat. Dad giving Melanie batting pointers. Jason was in heaven out there! He had the biggest smile on his face running around those bases. Baseball is his sport of choice! He LOVES baseball!

Sister in Town, YEAH!

Image
So with Alise having to bring Damon down to Primary Children's Hospital, it has built our relationship as sister's a lot. We just have a blast together! This visit was very short. She just stayed one night and it definitely wasn't long enough! Here's a peek in to what happens while she is here...a LOT of LAUGHING!! We crack each other up!! Alyssa was making Damon laugh by pulling on his balloon and running around him. He just thought she was hilarious! He LOVED it!

It's GREAT to be EIGHT!

It's hard to believe that Cameron is 8 years old! He had a fun day. The kids are off track so he was home all day for his birthday. Cameron chose to eat lunch at Subway. The kids love that place! Then we went to see Dad at work for a little bit. Then we went to the Boy Scout store and he was so excited to spend the money he got from both his grandparents on a Cub Scout uniform! He told the lady helping us "I have $50!" A lot of money to an 8 year old! He loved his first day of Scouts. They have to get a collection of something and he chose bird feathers. I am not sure how we are going to find those, seeing how the birds haven't come back after winter yet. He is sure stressing about it though! Dad bought Cameron this cool Bionicle. He worked on it for about 3 hours that night and then he woke up and worked on it clear to the middle of the afternoon. When he finally finished it he built the Bionicle that he got for Xmas from Grandma and Grandpa Lee and

Easter-Conference Weekend

Saturday morning we were up bright and early to go to a Cousin's Reunion (Floyd side) in Provo. My mom is the oldest of 8 kids and so I am one of the older grandchildren on that side. Actually I am the 3rd oldest and 1st granddaughter. There were no other cousins until my younger brother was born. So when ever reunion time came around (which wasn't often enough) when we were younger, I didn't have any cousins to play with my age. I think I pretty much hung around the adults when I was a teenager at those things!! HAHA!! But everyone lived far away so it was always so much fun to see everyone anyways! In some ways it was funner that way to. Lots to catch up on! Now a LOT of cousins are at BYU. Great time to get together! Nick & Jessica (Floyd) Berejkoff, Addison Floyd, Kim (Floyd) & Michael Allred, Caleb & Ben Coburn, Bryce Floyd, Me and my kids, Allison (Floyd) & Scott Lalor. A few others had other plans that morning and couldn't make it! M
