Halloween Fun!

Image
Today was full of Halloween fun for us! This morning we went to our local library for story time. It was dress up story time! Cameron wasn't the only s pider man there. Here he is with his "twin". Cameron is on the right. Here they are waiting for it to start. Jason the Ninja Turtle, Melanie the witch, Alyssa the horse and Cameron as s pider man . Afterwards they colored their pumpkins on their treat bag and then went trick or treating around the library. They walked away with a sucker, pencil and a book marker. Tonight was our ward Halloween party. The young men and young women put it on with each class having a booth. David is in Deacons and so was in charge of a booth. They did goblin golf and fright flight . So I walked around with the kids and tried to get to every one. Some of the highlights for my kids were the "fishing" for candy, balloon making and pumpkin bowling. Jason is showing off his balloon monkey. His costume changed that night. He decided h

Finished Project

Image
I finally finished the clock that we did for our project at the Lee Family Reunion in July. I'm glad it's done and on the wall! The only thing I messed up on was the roman numerals. They look right until you look at a roman numeral clock! But it is keeping perfect time, so I'm glad about that!

Random and Weird facts about ME!

Image
This tag came from Ashley Harris! These kind of tags make me feel so vulnerable!! I guess that's what a blog is anyway, right?! 1. I HAVE to have the toilet seats down (and flushed)!! I can't stand it up and open waiting for things to fall in it! This important necessity can be seen after this happened: I was looking everywhere for the lid to the toothpaste the other day when where must I find it? Yes, it had fallen in the toilet and I had to fish it out and throw it away! GROSS!!! Obviously keeping the lid down isn't a high priority on everyone else's list around here. 2. I can have piles build up on my dresser, counter, and desk for weeks and it doesn't bother me. But then one day I will just have the urge to really clean and clear everything off. It will stay clean for maybe a week after which things will pile up and the cycle starts all over again!! So annoying that I don't like to clean all day long!! 3. I am more of a procrastinator than I ever

Leaves are Falling All Around!!

Image
I love this time of year. When it's still warm enough to go outside and the air is crisp and fresh! I saw enough leaves in our front yard today to suggest we go make a leaf pile to jump in. Work and fun all together!! The kids all loved it and then afterwards we were able to get a bag full of leaves.

We're not WeiRd or AnYtHiNg!!

Look what Cameron brought home from school!!:

Underwear

Image
I just have to laugh every time I see Jason and his underwear. Yes, he carries them around deciding which one to wear and will ask me sometimes what one to choose. Knowing red is his favorite and knowing he has already decided in his head which one to wear, I always say red after which he will respond, "yeah, red!" He has his "special" underwear that he just loves! Spider man is the underwear of choice for him! And each spider man is red!! He has others- sponge bob, thomas the train, and just plain color but those are used only if spider man is in need of a wash. He usually changes underwear every time he goes to the bathroom. I wash a lot of underwear around here! So yesterday I looked over the couch and I saw Jason had his underwear all lined up on the couch and he was snuggling the spider man underwear while watching a movie! I didn't know underwear were so huggable! Life's good when you know where your underwear are!! I just had to get a picture and he g

Once there was a Snowman...

Image
Look at our fun soccer games we went to yesterday that started out with snow and then just plain cold! We opted to stay in the car while David watched Cameron, and I went out with Melanie for her game while David stayed in the car- This morning the kids were so excited to wake up to SNOW this morning before church!! First snow day, what fun for the kids!!

Tagged- 4th Picture

Image
I was tagged by Marcie. The name of the game is that you have to post your fourth picture from your fourth picture file. I had to laugh and wonder what picture that was for me. I wasn't too surprised when I saw this because my kids are always grabbing my camera and taking as many pictures as possible. This was from 2 Sundays back when we had over some family for dinner at our house-Chris and Andrea, Becca and Caleb. (No he's not fat, his back is just arched funny against the stairs!) I got even a bigger kick out of the 5th picture though: Sorry Chris, had to post it! I tag: Candace, Alise, Trisha, Jilayne!

Great Day!

I was so happy at the end of today!! I had a clean home (mostly) and my kids were so happy, which always makes me happy. I don't know why today was different than other days, but it was. Things just went smoother, the kids were content to play with each other and not beg, beg, beg to play with neighbor friends, and I was a lot more patient. I think it had a lot to do with listening to all of the uplifting and motivating talks this last weekend for conference. I love conference weekend!! I don't know why one session was enough for me when I was younger, but I love ALL 4 sessions and feel like I really miss out if I can't hear them all. Tonight for Family Home Evening we had a "missionary night". It was so great!! I got the idea from Candace Nielson (thank you!) David started out talking about his mission and serving in Chile. We got a map off the internet of the world so the kids could see where Chile is. David read his mission call and showed them pictures of some
