Summer Days

Image
Yesterday the kids and I went to Orem to visit my sister-in-law, Andrea. We ate lunch, went swimming at their beautiful pool club in their development and then Andrea cut my hair (she always does such a great job!) It was fun to chat and catch up with all of the happenings going on with us. It was a great get away for a day. Other than the happenings at the pool (see below), we had a great time! The swimming pool was almost a disaster. I almost came home with 1 child, Melanie who was the only one with a floaty on. Cameron instantly got into the water and was ready to try out his swimming skills he has acquired while swimming in our hot tub. Little problem though, the hot tub isn't deep and he can touch every where. The pool, yeah, not so shallow! So I would hold Alyssa (who by the way didn't want anything to do with me holding her) and be out in the water a bit so Cameron could practice swimming, which he just loved. We did that off and on throughout the time we were there. Me

More Than Pretty Girls?

Yesterday I got to enjoy a nice Sunday afternoon nap. Melanie was in our room lying next to me because she wanted ice cream and I told her not until I woke up. So she was being patient and lying next to me in bed. David was on the other side of me and he rolled over and said; David: Do you know I love mommy more than anything in the whole world? Melanie: Do you love her more than pretty girls? David: (laughing) Yes, Melanie. I'm so glad that David loves me more than pretty girls. I guess that he just got a plain Jane??! Thanks Melanie for letting my secret out! Our cute Melanie always has some type of inquisitive question that we always wonder where they come from!

Our New Computer!!

Yes it happened. And yes, I love typing without out having to type twice for one word, or pushing really hard on the keys. The key pad works great! When David was setting it up Saturday night I told him that nobody could get away with just anything on this computer! No Porn in this home (not that we had any before). Who could with the size of this screen-a 24"! So it feels great to be back in business. Now I'm just figuring out all of the new things on it and how to navigate my way around it. Yeah, I can blog again!!

Caught Red Handed (or would that be brown?)

I went grocery shopping the other day and left all the kids with David. When I got home and came around the corner of the kitchen with groceries in hand, this is what I saw: Yes, that's Jason, butt naked eating the frosting off of the brownies. He didn't stay long in THAT outfit!

Computer Down

Well, David warned me it would happen and it did. We have a laptop for our home computer and the place where the cord plugs into has been saudered (spelling?) like 3 or 4 times by my personal mechanic, David because it doesn't turn on. Has any one had this happen before? The first time this happened, 2 years ago, we didn't have the money to pay someone to fix it and so David said if I break it trying, oh well! So after hours of taking the laptop apart, saudering the spot and then figuring out where everything went back, it worked! Well, the last time it was fixed by David, something happened and the mouse pad on the laptop didn't work which was no big deal since I could just plug in a hand mouse, which I prefer anyway. And he also said that was the last time he'd fix it. A new computer was going to replace it the next time. Well, the next time has come! We even looked at computers and were so close to buying one BEFORE it broke down. But I kept thinking, it'

Hot Tub Fun!

When we bought our home 2 years ago it included a new hot tub in the back yard. We enjoyed it for the first year. I think I went in it a few times. David got to enjoy it more than me since I was pregnant with Alyssa. We weren't sure how to drain it and then winter rolled around and pretty soon we just forgot about it. Every now and then we'd bring it up on how we needed to drain it, but then it was brushed aside and forgotten. Well, after mowing the yard last week I'd had enough and hooked up the hose to the drain and was determined to figure it out! We'd called several local spa companies and nobody had heard of our hot tub, a Dynasty. So David looked up the owners manual online and ta-dah! A few hours later the tub was drained and ready to clean. It REALLY needed a cleaning. I went to the spa store to pick up some cleaning products. After getting home, the kids and I put on our swim suits and went to work. We scrubbed it sparkly clean. Then came the filters. They wer

Chuck and Carol have a wall of 5X7 pictures of all the grandkids. They needed pictures of our kids before the reunion (so they wouldn't feel left out) and so I took pictures of them outside of our home. I'm not a professional, and so there are a ton of things wrong, but I wanted to put them on here!! They are growing up WAY too fast!!

Lee Family Reunion Update

Image
We got home Monday night from Washington. We had a great time with all of the family together. We were planning on leaving Wednesday morning around 7 am, but after talking to my mom and her mentioning a water skiing outing the night we arrived, nobody had to twist our arm to change our mind, so we left at 4:30 am. We were out at Scootney 12 hours later and I LOVED it!! I miss boating, water skiing, tubing and being with family. A boat is in our future someday!! Grandma and Alyssa David with Alyssa Alyssa loved it too! Cameron swimming to the boat A terrible picture of me and Jason in his pink life jacket. It was a 12 hour trip! Kira, Cameron & David on the "Taco Tube". Cameron LOVED it and even liked to get flown off! He especially loved it when David said to Cameron while going around really fast, "Hold on Cameron, we're Taco Meat!" He got a real kick out of that! David wakeboarding Thursday, was the official start of the Lee reunion. We went to M
