13 weeks

Today I went to the doctor. They just checked the baby's heart beat and it's good. My next appt. is in 5 weeks, Aug 4th, and I will have my ultra sound done then. Is time passing fast or what? I really can't believe it. I will not be posting any pictures of me pregnant at this time. Although I may look pregnant, it really is just all my fat and stuff being pushed up. I feel at times I am 6 months pregnant. LUCKILY though I only gained 1 lb. this month. I was sure it was going to be 4 or 5. Now if only I can keep up that pace for a while until my body is caught back up to previous pregnancies! We got a lot of things planned for this week. Melanie and Cameron start swimming lessons, the last day of school is Thursday (YIPPEE!) and Colby's family is coming in to town Thursday night and spending the 4th of July weekend with us. We will be busy and the kids will have a lot of fun with all of the happenings!

Had to Document!!

It is just after 6 pm and we have eaten dinner, cleaned up and enjoyed it all with David!! Oh, happy day to sit down with EVERYONE at 5:30 for dinner. This NEVER happens and is usually very rare to even get to eat dinner with David. Yes, this IS blog worthy!!!

Happy 8th Anniversary!!

You know you're getting old when you look at your wedding pictures and think "I look so young!" Yes that is what I am thinking!! Oh, to look like that again!! I really can't believe it's been 8 years. I loved this day, 8 years ago. I know our children were there celebrating with us, anticipating their turn to come to earth. I feel this day is a family celebration, the start of eternity together! I am so thankful to be married to David and look forward to celebrating many more years together! Love ya, Sweets!!

Look Who's 2!!!

Happy Birthday, Alyssa!! I cannot believe how time has flown. I just LOVE this little girl so much. When I was pregnant with Alyssa, David gave me a blessing and he blessed me that I would have the ability to love this other child. And that has come true. Alyssa has been so special to all of us! Cameron just dotes on her and she pretty much can get anything she wants. (I'm working on that!!) The other day I was standing at the top of our stairs looking down in to the kitchen. The kids were eating their otter pops and Alyssa looked up and said "Hi, Mom!" Two words do not come out of her mouth and so that was a surprise. She is picking up on new words all of the time and it's fun to see her learning. Alyssa is the only baby, so far, to come out with blue, blue eyes and blonde, blonde hair. Yes, she is all daddy and he LOVES that! Her personality is HUGE and she likes attention and is hilarious to be around. She likes to show off. She also likes to be off doing what eve

Oquirrh Mountain Temple

Image
Last weekend we went to our new temple that is only 5 mins. from our home. Unfortunately David was in Hawaii so he missed out, but almost all of the rest of his family was in town. It is gorgeous inside and it was so fun to take the kids through. There was a big group of us and so we were always counting heads, making sure everyone was still in the group. Chris & Andrea's family, Ryan & Melissa's family, Chuck, Me & my kids, Anna & her girls, Becca and Carol We were able to go again last night. David's good friend, Hans flew into town and is staying with us for the weekend. (Our house has been overflowing with guests in the last week!) We were talking when he got to our house and the temple open house was mentioned. Hans is a recent convert to the church and so we decided to go through it again. We went and ate right across the street at Red Robin and then headed over. This time we went slower with David explaining a lot of what went on in each of the

Well, I haven't talked to my dad yet but he arrived safe and sound at home last night around 10 pm. Lots of stories to tell and pictures to go with them!! I'm excited to hear the scoop on it all. Here are pictures of the not so lucky animals. Lynn and my dad were in heaven, so I heard with the experience. Something to remember forever! The only picture not here is the warthog, which he shot. He's waiting to get it from Lynn's camera. This one is a Springbuck: A Gemsbuck A Jackal (this one was an extra animal he bought while he was there. Looks like that one would be hard to shoot it's so little!) Hartebeast, shaking hands with his guide. Lynn and my dad next to the safari truck they drove around on top of. And the Kudu. Those antlers are AWESOME!! With the trackers next to him. Dad sent an email the first day saying that the place they stayed at was very hospitable and everyone was really nice. I'm glad that it was such a great trip. My mom was nervous before h

Happenings

Not a lot going on around here, but a few things I wanted to write down. I took Cameron into the urgent care last night. He slipped on water that Alyssa had spilled on the kitchen floor and his toes jammed into a chair. We thought is was fine at first, but he kept complaining and limping and then when I looked at it before bed his 4th toe was all black and blue and had a red line on the skin from bleeding under the skin. So we thought it best to take him in last night rather than wait till today and take him out of school. After x-rays, no break so that was good. Even though it wasn't broken I was glad I took him in just to get the piece of mind. It looked worse this morning so I know I for sure would have taken him in today if I didn't last night. David took off for a business trip to Hawaii. I know, work is tough when you have to go to Hawaii. I think this will be a good break for him. He will be home on Sunday, so it's a long trip. Yesterday Jason was asking to

AND I CAN HARDLY WAIT!!!!" December 31, 2009 we will be a family of 7 . Now that's weird to think because that's how many plates I used to set at my parents house when I lived at home, crazy!! We are excited, the older 2 especially. They can understand a lot more and so this is all fun for them. Not so fun for me is the ALL day sickness. Hopefully that will be over soon and I can enjoy the rest of summer. We have a different insurance with this one and so I'm lovin' the fact that the dr. and hospital are 5 mins. away!! That will be so nice and hopefully the kids will be able to make more quick trips to see the new baby when it's born. They did an ultra sound at my dr. visit today. I've never had one this early and they got a real good close up one. You can see the head, body, arms, legs and even the yolk sac that's still feeding baby. That was fun to do. I'm almost 10 weeks along and will be glad to have the first trimester behind me.

Provo Canyon

PICTURES!!!! Thanks to Andrea on some of them and our new camera that we are still figuring out. A week and a 1/2 ago we went to Provo Canyon with Chris and Andrea's family and with David's parents who were in town. We picked up lunch at Subway and took it with us and had a picnic. Even though there was quite a few people there, it was still so peaceful and fun. The balls that Chris brought kept the kids entertained the whole time and the hill to climb on also was fun. Family picture, a little over due! I am so blessed!! HOORAY!!! Brothers, love this picture! My girls We even saw kayakers! David, Melanie, Chuck and Chris Thank goodness for the balls!!
