5th Grade Championship Football Game

Image
Cameron’s Football game was rescheduled for Tuesday night at 7:30.  It was COLD!!!  They played at Timpview High School against Provo.  It was quite an exciting game.  Our team ran back for a touch down on the very first play and scored the extra point.  Then they scored but did not get the extra point.  We scored again with the extra point.  Then there was a play where one of our players went to get the interception, the ball slipped threw his hands and the other team ran 5 yards for a touchdown!  It kind of went down hill for us after that.  They picked it up and we made a lot of errors.  The game ended with 14-24.  Cameron had such a great year and learned a lot on this team.  He showed up and worked hard at every practice.  He has matured a lot in these last 3 months.  I was so proud of him!!

First Big Snow Storm

We had the first big storm of the winter hit last weekend.  We got a good 10 inches!  I love when we get a good snowfall on the weekend.  So much more fun playing in the snow and less driving to have to worry about!  The kids wasted no time getting on their snow pants, hats, gloves, coat and boots on and they were out enjoying it.  In fact I was so happy when I read my email that Cameron’s Championship Football game had been cancelled!  We just stayed home and played and sipped hot chocolate!  Cameron, Melanie and Jason were gone most of the day sledding down the big hill in the neighborhood with others that showed up to sled too.  I love that they can go out and play and we don’t have to load everyone up and find a sledding hill.  Worked out perfect!  For the younger ones we stayed and made a snowman.  Jenna has been watching “Frosty the Snowman” and so she was especially excited to build “Frosty”.  She exclaimed “I want to hug him!”  Melanie showed up at the end.  Frosty  turned out

Halloween

Alyssa had her Halloween singing concert at the school in the morning.  They had learned a lot of songs!  Alyssa was a Fairy Princess this year.  She had fun with makeup and fake eyelashes!  After the program she got to come home with us.  I dropped off Jenna and Alyssa at a friends house so that I could go spend lunch with Melanie and get her ready for her Halloween Party.  It was fun to visit with Melanie and Cameron with their friends at the lunch table.  Neighborhood ladies waiting for our kids to come out for the school parade!  It was so much fun to dress up!  I forgot to mention that I wore this to Alyssa’s program and lunch with the kids!  Ha!  They didn’t know I was going to be dressed up!   The weather was gorgeous!  Around 70 degrees!  It made it nice trick-or-treating. And here come the kids!!  Melanie was a zebra girl.  Decided she liked my wig I brought out the night before and we added makeup and fake eyelashes too.  Things will be crazy when I have 3 teenagers in
