Easter Weekend

Image
Saturday we went to a big Easter Egg Hunt put on by our real estate agent (the one we had 4 1/2 years ago).  The kids loved it!  They each had a chance to gather up as much candy, toys and little knick knacks as they could.  This was Jenna’s first year.  She wasn’t sure what to do at first but once she started she didn’t stop!  She had a blast.  The older kids didn’t get nearly as much as they wanted!     Then we headed down to Orem and cleaned David’s new office.  There was lots to do and we got it all in order, ready for work Monday.   It always feels good to work in a space that is clean and organized.  We got home at 9:30 that night.  We were all tired and ready to be home!  After putting the kids to bed I worked on dinner for the next day, the Easter Bunny showed up and we finally went to bed at 12:30.  6:30 came to early!!!  Kids were wide awake excited to run down stairs Sunday morning.    I was grateful for 11 o’clock church!  The kids looked cute in their new Easter outf

Feel like an AIRHEAD when it comes to Isaiah?

You are not alone! So while reading the Book of Mormon for the 60 day challenge I had the desire to not just "get through" the Isaiah chapters, but try to understand them. So I found this book at deseret book and bought it with my birthday money. And look at the author! I love John Bytheway!! You actually have your scriptures open and study them along with the book. I feel as if I'm in his institute class! But let me share a few paragraphs in there that he uses to describe how Isaiah writes. It really is very funny! As an undergraduate student at Brigham Young University, I took a rigorous class called "Business Writing." I was taught a formula for writing that is consistent with our modern culture: "Say what you're going to say, say it, then say what you've said. Be concise, use simple words rather than complex, multi-syllabic phrases. Be brief, clear, and direct. Deny the listener the right to misunderstand. Isaish did not take that

Cameron’s Birthday Party

Image
Cameron celebrated his birthday with his friends on Friday. It ended up being the perfect weather. We haven’t had many nice days lately so it was great! The kids ran a 3-legged race. Had a scavenger hunt with clues that led them to the prize. The prize was Easter eggs filled with candy bars. He opened presents and he received new Pokemon cards and a miniature basketball hoop that hangs on your door. They also played the Wii, jumped on the tramp and ate cupcakes. Cameron loved it and so I will take that as a successful party!

A Little Getaway…

David had a convention in Las Vegas for work, kids were off track, that added up to us tagging along!  After Jenna’s 15 month appt. Tuesday (which may have been a mistake since the shots made her cranky for a few days) we drove to St. George in separate cars, arriving that night.  We celebrated Cameron’s birthday.  His birthday was the next day but we wanted to celebrate with Dad there.  He loved all of his presents and hopes to practice a lot with his dad!  He got from us a bat, mitt, baseballs, batting T and scout stuff, ready for bears.  Grandpa and Grandma Lee gave him a basketball and a batting practice thing that goes on a pole.  He enjoyed shopping with the money Grandpa and Grandma McGary mailed to him too. David left Wednesday morning to Vegas while we hung out at St. George.  I was planning on really nice weather.  The sun just peeked it’s head through a few times though.  We brought bikes and strollers but only went out one time.  We went to the city rec center and swam
