Poor Jason

So I am feeling so terrible right now. I took Jason to the doctor today to get his ears checked and I was pretty sure he had a sinus infection too. When the nurse was weighing Jason I was just naming off my concerns and reasons why I was there and what was going on health wise. She asked if Jason has had a fever and I said no. She took his temperature and it came out with a 100.4 temp, a fever. Then I told her that at night Jason will complain when he goes to bed that his back hurts and when he wears his coat he complains about his back hurting. She then tells me that they will have him pee in a cup. None of my kids has done that before, so I ask why and she tells me that they want to see if there is anything wrong with his kidneys. So we go and I help him pee in a cup (WAY easier than a girl). Then we go and wait for the doctor. After the Dr. checks him out she starts listing off all of the things that are wrong-ear infection in the right ear, sinus infection, pneumonia and

Will the Snot ever END?!

Jason's nose has NOT let up, until we get out of town! When we went to WA the beginning of February I didn't wipe Jason's nose, that I can remember, at all. Come home and it's been running ever since. Went to St. George for the night and a day and no runs with the nose. Get home and it is back instantly. Is it inside, outside or what? I'm sure new carpet would help since I don't know what was in here before us and maybe the cats Melanie USED to have had something to do with it, but I don't know for sure since they didn't live inside. Oh boy, the Kleenex's and toilet paper are racking up the grocery bill!

St. George & Draper Temple Dedication

Friday our family decided last minute to take a quick vacation down to St. George, Utah. David was already going for his work on a golfing trip and when he invited me to go, I knew I needed it! So we left when David got off of work at 4:30 pm and got to St. George at 9:30. We checked into our hotel and then went to eat here: We stayed here: After breakfast we put on our swim suits and headed outside our hotel and swam here: The funnest part of the trip and the most relaxing! Our check out time was 12 pm, so swimming only lasted an hour. We headed over to the outlet malls down the street and window shopped. We ate lunch here, at the famous: Talk about CrAzY!! SO MANY PEOPLE here. It was fun though and the kids handled the craziness well. David met up with his co-workers for about 30 mins. David opted out of golf for the weekend to spend time with our family. Yeah!! Then we went here: GORGEOUS!! There is a mini visitor center like in SLC with the Christis statue, kids area and a theatre

This weekend David's parents came into town. We met them in Provo at an all you can eat Brazilian Grill, Tucano's on Friday night. Yummy food!! It's been a long time since I've over eaten like that and it reminds me why I don't! But food that good is hard to pass up. Then they came to our house Saturday night and came to church with us before heading back to WA. It was great to see them. The kids laid down their sleeping bags next to grandpa and grandma's bed and had a sleep over. That's a favorite with the kids! Cameron cried when they left. A few hours with them just wasn't enough time! I got a clean house out of it! I am a maniac cleaner when company comes. Probably because I don't keep up on it as well the rest of the time?! Oh well, it was worth it! I'm hoping this week to get outside and clean up my flower beds and prune my roses. I'm looking forward to warm weather. (Our camera is still broken, so no pics of this weekend!)

Catch up Day

Well, since yesterday I had no desire to do ANYTHING, I got nothing accomplished but food in the kids' mouth. How is that for a lazy day?! I'm embarrassed to admit that I didn't even get out of my pajamas ALL DAY LONG! Pretty sad when at 4 pm one of your kids has to ask you why you are still in your pajamas. I know, no shower. But it was just one of those days! I didn't want to do anything, so I didn't. Well today is catch up day-dishes, laundry, clean, clean, clean. Which is okay because today I am in the mood for it! This weekend we get to see David's parents in town. That should be fun to get together with them and hang out with David's siblings that are in UT. Surprisingly enough, we don't see either David's sister or brother's families very often although we live less than an hour away. I guess that's life though. Hopefully someday we can live closer to fill the gap a little. So the kids are really excited to see Grandpa and

Don't Be Jealous!!

Now, I don't want to form a soup line over here for lunch every day when you hear this is a favorite with the kids! Can lunch get any better when Top Ramen is served?

Student of the Month

Image
Cameron was chosen from his class to be the Student of the Month for showing excellence in Cooperation. Every month they have a different value they focus on and the teachers nominate a student in their class who has exemplified that value in class. Every class has a different kid nominated. So the parents of the kids who were nominated are invited to come and watch at the school assembly on Friday as they announced the new Student of the Month kids. Cameron was really excited, but a little shy to be in front of the other students by himself. The teacher wrote on her paper about Cameron that he was a great worker in groups and that he had a good smile and a contagious laugh that other's can't help but laugh too. The principal is talking about Cameron on his turn to go up. My camera was taking terrible pictures. David thinks because the background is so dark, but I also think it's because our camera isn't the best. I LOVE MY BOYS!!! David drove home from work to be there
