Catch up Day

Well, since yesterday I had no desire to do ANYTHING, I got nothing accomplished but food in the kids' mouth. How is that for a lazy day?! I'm embarrassed to admit that I didn't even get out of my pajamas ALL DAY LONG! Pretty sad when at 4 pm one of your kids has to ask you why you are still in your pajamas. I know, no shower. But it was just one of those days! I didn't want to do anything, so I didn't. Well today is catch up day-dishes, laundry, clean, clean, clean. Which is okay because today I am in the mood for it!

This weekend we get to see David's parents in town. That should be fun to get together with them and hang out with David's siblings that are in UT. Surprisingly enough, we don't see either David's sister or brother's families very often although we live less than an hour away. I guess that's life though. Hopefully someday we can live closer to fill the gap a little. So the kids are really excited to see Grandpa and Grandma Lee.

ALSO, the kids broke my camera. Actually it was either Alyssa or Cameron, since they were the ones playing with it. SO, another thing to buy that's adding on to the long list of broken things. My disposal in my sink went out several weeks back and I'm waiting for that tax return to come before we replace it. I guess you could put me on the broken list too. I am taking a break from the tread mill to rest my sore foot. I think it's sprained or something. Our stairs aren't helping it to get any better though! I'm going crazy not working out!!!!

Honestly everyone needs days like that. Unfortunately I think I take them too often. Sorry about the camera. That stinks! Have fun with your in-laws this weekend.

Our New Family Pictures

I have been on the hunt for a really good photographer for a long time here and there.  And I think I found one that did everything I wanted.  First, she comes and looks at the feel of your home.  For us I just sent pictures of our living room where I wanted the pictures placed.  Then she suggests colors to wear and sent pictures back with our room and picture placements she puts on the walls.  And with 5 kids, especially Jenna, you really have to photo shop A LOT!!  Almost every photo with Jenna she had to photo shop.  She did amazing!!  I was so nervous when we went over and viewed our pictures at her house.  As David put it after our photo shoot “She has to be a magician to get anything good out of that!  That was a disaster!”  After looking at our proofs I said, “well, you are a magician!”  And David said after leaving and climbing in our car to go home “That was worth every penny.”  Success! How close have you been to a Prophet?

David, and two other guys he works with, were invited to the Jazz game last Friday night. I have come to find out as a construction wife, to get business, you gotta play A LOT ! Here is a short list, not limited to, of what I mean by "play": Golfing (about 3 times a week-depending on the week and in warm weather of course) Snow skiing (about 2 times a week, again this depends on the week and when there's snow) Fancy dinners (this can also be counted as lunch, which happens more than I know I'm sure!) Executive Retreats (this will be happening in February for about 5 days in AZ, which will have all 5 days full of golfing, guaranteed!!) Jazz games (again, when in season) I don't know about you, but I think I'm in the wrong career!! This house wife things just does not include ANY of those benefits!! TRIALS

We have been preparing for over 4 years for this trial. But nothing, no matter how much you knew it could and most likely would happen, can prepare you when your son's doctor tells you now is the time. "Your son needs open heart surgery." August 24th, 2005, Jason was born in Las Vegas, NV. He was perfect and healthy looking in every way. At his 2 week check up the doctor heard a heart murmur and recommended I take him to the cardiologist. I mentioned that I was flying out to WA in a few days and so I'd probably go when I got back, 3 weeks later. The cardiologist doctor called me the next day after visiting with the pediatrician, asking me to go in to have Jason checked out. It was late and he was willing to stay after hours for us to get there. After an ultra sound of his heart (echo) the cardiologist diagnosed Jason with a very small hole in his heart. Nothing that needed to be fixed right away, unless it started causing problems. So Jason started going every 3 month
