Lost and Found

Last night Melanie's cats weren't in the back yard. I thought no big deal, they'll be there in the morning wanting breakfast. But no. When we woke up they were no where to be found. Melanie was SO UPSET!! She went to all of the neighbors house asking if her cats were there. Nothing. So on our trips out today I just kept my eye out for them. I kept thinking if they were lost, there was no way they were going to find their way back with all of these houses around! She even called grandma and told her that her cats had run away. Poor little girl! Well tonight, the neighbor came over with both cats! Melanie was ecstatic! She has been loving on them all night.They were trapped in the neighbor's garage. Apparently they went in there when the garage was open last night and were stuck when they closed the garage for the night. They are pretty dirty though. They look like they have been rolling in a Jiffy Lube mechanic store. But Melanie will snuggle with her kitties no matter what!

(I have to laugh at this picture because the one cat has 1 green eye and 1 orange eye from the flash. They are usually 1 blue and one green/yellow color! Kinda scary looking, but Melanie loves it all the same!)

Our New Family Pictures

I have been on the hunt for a really good photographer for a long time here and there.  And I think I found one that did everything I wanted.  First, she comes and looks at the feel of your home.  For us I just sent pictures of our living room where I wanted the pictures placed.  Then she suggests colors to wear and sent pictures back with our room and picture placements she puts on the walls.  And with 5 kids, especially Jenna, you really have to photo shop A LOT!!  Almost every photo with Jenna she had to photo shop.  She did amazing!!  I was so nervous when we went over and viewed our pictures at her house.  As David put it after our photo shoot “She has to be a magician to get anything good out of that!  That was a disaster!”  After looking at our proofs I said, “well, you are a magician!”  And David said after leaving and climbing in our car to go home “That was worth every penny.”  Success! How close have you been to a Prophet?

David, and two other guys he works with, were invited to the Jazz game last Friday night. I have come to find out as a construction wife, to get business, you gotta play A LOT ! Here is a short list, not limited to, of what I mean by "play": Golfing (about 3 times a week-depending on the week and in warm weather of course) Snow skiing (about 2 times a week, again this depends on the week and when there's snow) Fancy dinners (this can also be counted as lunch, which happens more than I know I'm sure!) Executive Retreats (this will be happening in February for about 5 days in AZ, which will have all 5 days full of golfing, guaranteed!!) Jazz games (again, when in season) I don't know about you, but I think I'm in the wrong career!! This house wife things just does not include ANY of those benefits!! TRIALS

We have been preparing for over 4 years for this trial. But nothing, no matter how much you knew it could and most likely would happen, can prepare you when your son's doctor tells you now is the time. "Your son needs open heart surgery." August 24th, 2005, Jason was born in Las Vegas, NV. He was perfect and healthy looking in every way. At his 2 week check up the doctor heard a heart murmur and recommended I take him to the cardiologist. I mentioned that I was flying out to WA in a few days and so I'd probably go when I got back, 3 weeks later. The cardiologist doctor called me the next day after visiting with the pediatrician, asking me to go in to have Jason checked out. It was late and he was willing to stay after hours for us to get there. After an ultra sound of his heart (echo) the cardiologist diagnosed Jason with a very small hole in his heart. Nothing that needed to be fixed right away, unless it started causing problems. So Jason started going every 3 month
