Our THANKSGIVING!!

Wow!! Did we have the funnest Thanksgiving!! I love getting together with family!! We were so lucky to get together with a lot of my family. I can't remember the last time we had Thanksgiving on my parent's side. It's been at least 4 years!! Way too long!!

Alise and Juan were here a week before for a dr. appt. and my cousins wedding, my parents showed up Wednesday night with Cody and Brandon (Tyson & Becky's boys), Seth and Heather and their 4 kids showed up Thursday morning. Chris, Andrea, and Amy and their cousin spent Turkey day with us also. We were packed, but enjoyed yummy food and even better company.

We are so blessed to come from such a fun family!!

What did we do? Here are a few pictures to share of our wonderfully fun week!
The "before Thanksgiving project" Alise and I did before the rest of the company arrived Wednesday. The walls were all white before as well as the toy box. Now it matches and ties the boys' blankets in that I made 1 1/2 years ago!! A few more things to put on the wall and it'll be done!!
The craft project we made Thanksgiving night!! I love the way it turned out. Thank you Trisha Freeman for the cute writing!! Soon I will have stockings to hang on it!
According to grandpa, you get the turkey ready by wearing the netting that the turkey came in on your head!! Silly grandpa!!

I have to give a big thank you to my parents!! They are so unselfish every time we get together. Alise, Heather, and I went on some fun shopping outings more than once while my mom watched ALL 12 grand kids!! We were able to return the favor and took her on an awesome shopping spree and she came home with a whole new wardrobe! We also went and got our nails done. I think the last time I had fake nails was 7 1/2 years ago, our wedding!

Dad, David, Seth and Juan went to the man stores, including the famous Cabella's! They also went to a turkey bowl Thursday morning and paint balling Saturday afternoon.

We also went to Madagascar Friday, which was a huge disappointment for me!! Loved the first one, wasn't impressed with the 2nd!

Thank you everyone who came!! It was so much fun and I hope to do it again soon! I can't wait for our reunion next summer!!

Looks like your THanksgiving was fun. I loved all your projects and it sounds like you had a ball shopping. Just what it should be-full of family and good times.

Hey so on your "All the stockings were hung" Did you just put hose hooks on the front to hang the stockings? We have a gal here that does all that with the vinyl and boards and I wanted something cute to hang the stockings not the C shaped hooks you screw in so let me know if what you did! Everything looks way cute, don't you love when you have finished a project!

Our New Family Pictures

I have been on the hunt for a really good photographer for a long time here and there.  And I think I found one that did everything I wanted.  First, she comes and looks at the feel of your home.  For us I just sent pictures of our living room where I wanted the pictures placed.  Then she suggests colors to wear and sent pictures back with our room and picture placements she puts on the walls.  And with 5 kids, especially Jenna, you really have to photo shop A LOT!!  Almost every photo with Jenna she had to photo shop.  She did amazing!!  I was so nervous when we went over and viewed our pictures at her house.  As David put it after our photo shoot “She has to be a magician to get anything good out of that!  That was a disaster!”  After looking at our proofs I said, “well, you are a magician!”  And David said after leaving and climbing in our car to go home “That was worth every penny.”  Success! How close have you been to a Prophet?

David, and two other guys he works with, were invited to the Jazz game last Friday night. I have come to find out as a construction wife, to get business, you gotta play A LOT ! Here is a short list, not limited to, of what I mean by "play": Golfing (about 3 times a week-depending on the week and in warm weather of course) Snow skiing (about 2 times a week, again this depends on the week and when there's snow) Fancy dinners (this can also be counted as lunch, which happens more than I know I'm sure!) Executive Retreats (this will be happening in February for about 5 days in AZ, which will have all 5 days full of golfing, guaranteed!!) Jazz games (again, when in season) I don't know about you, but I think I'm in the wrong career!! This house wife things just does not include ANY of those benefits!! TRIALS

We have been preparing for over 4 years for this trial. But nothing, no matter how much you knew it could and most likely would happen, can prepare you when your son's doctor tells you now is the time. "Your son needs open heart surgery." August 24th, 2005, Jason was born in Las Vegas, NV. He was perfect and healthy looking in every way. At his 2 week check up the doctor heard a heart murmur and recommended I take him to the cardiologist. I mentioned that I was flying out to WA in a few days and so I'd probably go when I got back, 3 weeks later. The cardiologist doctor called me the next day after visiting with the pediatrician, asking me to go in to have Jason checked out. It was late and he was willing to stay after hours for us to get there. After an ultra sound of his heart (echo) the cardiologist diagnosed Jason with a very small hole in his heart. Nothing that needed to be fixed right away, unless it started causing problems. So Jason started going every 3 month
