Last Weeks of Pregnancy

Here I am at 37 weeks:

Jenna and I have been enjoying a few outings alone before this new little guy arrives.  One morning she broke bread up and put it in a bag and said she wanted to feed the ducks.  So on our way to run other errands we stopped by a hobby farm at someone’s house in Springville.  A worker let her feed the baby kangaroo too which was awesome!

Here I am, 40 weeks tomorrow!  We had to get to Jaker’s Pumpkin Patch before it was to late!  She loved picking out a pumpkin and playing on the fun things there before Preschool.  I am really, really going to miss just her and I.  She is quite the talker in the car and can talk non-stop the whole time.  Soaking up these last few days with her!  She is going to be the BEST big sister.  She talks about her new brother all the time and can’t wait to see what he looks like.  4 days ago at my dr. appt. I was dilated to a 3.5 but baby was still high.  I got a few things I would still like to get done before baby comes but for the most part I am ready for him!

Wait what? 40 weeks already? You don't look that far along at all. Infact you hardly look prego in that picture with Jenna. I swell and spread all over the place. haha! What should I expect from you....perfect and gorgeous as always. It's such a weird feeling to make that transition but so fun. Hope all goes well. I can't wait to see him. Good luck!

Our New Family Pictures

I have been on the hunt for a really good photographer for a long time here and there.  And I think I found one that did everything I wanted.  First, she comes and looks at the feel of your home.  For us I just sent pictures of our living room where I wanted the pictures placed.  Then she suggests colors to wear and sent pictures back with our room and picture placements she puts on the walls.  And with 5 kids, especially Jenna, you really have to photo shop A LOT!!  Almost every photo with Jenna she had to photo shop.  She did amazing!!  I was so nervous when we went over and viewed our pictures at her house.  As David put it after our photo shoot “She has to be a magician to get anything good out of that!  That was a disaster!”  After looking at our proofs I said, “well, you are a magician!”  And David said after leaving and climbing in our car to go home “That was worth every penny.”  Success! How close have you been to a Prophet?

David, and two other guys he works with, were invited to the Jazz game last Friday night. I have come to find out as a construction wife, to get business, you gotta play A LOT ! Here is a short list, not limited to, of what I mean by "play": Golfing (about 3 times a week-depending on the week and in warm weather of course) Snow skiing (about 2 times a week, again this depends on the week and when there's snow) Fancy dinners (this can also be counted as lunch, which happens more than I know I'm sure!) Executive Retreats (this will be happening in February for about 5 days in AZ, which will have all 5 days full of golfing, guaranteed!!) Jazz games (again, when in season) I don't know about you, but I think I'm in the wrong career!! This house wife things just does not include ANY of those benefits!! TRIALS

We have been preparing for over 4 years for this trial. But nothing, no matter how much you knew it could and most likely would happen, can prepare you when your son's doctor tells you now is the time. "Your son needs open heart surgery." August 24th, 2005, Jason was born in Las Vegas, NV. He was perfect and healthy looking in every way. At his 2 week check up the doctor heard a heart murmur and recommended I take him to the cardiologist. I mentioned that I was flying out to WA in a few days and so I'd probably go when I got back, 3 weeks later. The cardiologist doctor called me the next day after visiting with the pediatrician, asking me to go in to have Jason checked out. It was late and he was willing to stay after hours for us to get there. After an ultra sound of his heart (echo) the cardiologist diagnosed Jason with a very small hole in his heart. Nothing that needed to be fixed right away, unless it started causing problems. So Jason started going every 3 month
