Our Forever Family

We got a lucky visit again this year!  What a treat that my kids look forward to!  We have special neighbors!

I am so proud of my kids!  They are learning to be active and learning to LOVE it!  6:15 every morning before school their alarm goes off and they get ready to go workout in our garage/gym.  Alyssa just does it on the weekends, like Saturday. We look at a workout online the night before so we know what the workout will be.  They started a couple weeks before we left to Cancun and then have been consistent the last month since we have gotten back.  The endorphins going off in this house before school is amazing!  They are so happy after they workout!  And they feel good about themselves.  Last Saturday I went to the temple in the morning so we did a family workout in the afternoon.  We each had a station that we did as many reps for 1 minute and then switched, with 6 stations total.  In the picture you can see Jason doing pushups, Cameron doing situps, David is doing thrusters, Alyssa is doing knees to elbows and Melanie is doing wallball...

The kids had crazy hair day at school!  I am pretty sure they went a little crazy before they left for school though!  What goof balls!!

Alyssa is LOVING gymnastics this go around.  We have her in an advanced gymnastics class.  So she goes 2 days a week, improving each week!  She just loves her teacher and loves that she gets to wear a team leotard!  Alysssa is naturally talented at gymnastics!  She amazes me with her abilities.  She recently learned how to climb the rope.  She can climb the rope that goes up to the ceiling in a 2 story garage half way!  She also loves the bars and the trampolines. Jenna is loving Gymnastics!  She feels like it is her special time.  Her favorite part is jumping on the trampolines.  These pictures were taken through the glass so they are not the best.

Melanie decided she wanted to try out Hip Hop.  So I signed her up in October, after soccer was over.  She has loved it!  It is very convenient as it is just down the road, less than a mile from our house.  She is in the same class as two of her friends, Anika and Ximena.  It was so fun to watch her last night at her recital!  She was super nervous but she said once she was on stage she wasn’t.  I think it helped that the audience section was dark so she couldn’t see anyone!  They did a dress rehearsal a couple hours before the program started at 7 pm.  The song they danced to was “Jump Around”.  Her group was called Circuit Breakers.  Alyssa was home from school sick so I had Cameron watch all the kids and just David and I went to watch her.  We took her out to Café Rio for a late dinner afterwards at 9:00.  Good job Melanie!

This boy thinks he can get older on me!  Ha!  35 is a pretty big deal in my eyes.  So we celebrated!  The day before his birthday (Saturday) I took him skiing up at Park City at the Canyons Ski Resort.  I got a babysitter for the whole day.  It was so much fun to spend the day together.  One of these years I am going to figure out how to keep my feet from freezing and going numb ! Sunday he opened his present.  He got a new computer chair.  For as many late nights as he pulls, on the computer working, a real office chair would be so much more comfortable than the chair from the table!   Jason seemed pretty excited about it! Sunday night I had invited our family that lives close, friends and neighbors  to come over to enjoy dessert and visit!  It was so fun!  Chris and Andrea’s family came, Andy and Kate’s family, the Condie’s, the Ross’s, the Boyer’s and Tiffany Montgomery came over with Mia.  We had ice c...

David won the ugly sweater contest at the Hermes Christmas party.  It was fun!  Good food, friends, white elephant gift exchange and a lot of ugly sweaters!  Fun night together with the family!
