David’s 35th Birthday

This boy thinks he can get older on me!  Ha!  35 is a pretty big deal in my eyes.  So we celebrated!  The day before his birthday (Saturday) I took him skiing up at Park City at the Canyons Ski Resort.  I got a babysitter for the whole day.  It was so much fun to spend the day together.  One of these years I am going to figure out how to keep my feet from freezing and going numbSad smile!

Sunday he opened his present.  He got a new computer chair.  For as many late nights as he pulls, on the computer working, a real office chair would be so much more comfortable than the chair from the table!   Jason seemed pretty excited about it!

Sunday night I had invited our family that lives close, friends and neighbors  to come over to enjoy dessert and visit!  It was so fun!  Chris and Andrea’s family came, Andy and Kate’s family, the Condie’s, the Ross’s, the Boyer’s and Tiffany Montgomery came over with Mia.  We had ice cream (store bought and homemade), carrot cake, chocolate mousse cake and chocolate chip cookies!  Neither David or I am all about having big parties on our birthday.  We don’t like to be the center of attention.  But it was sure fun to have an excuse to gather around friends!

When all the friends left we were visiting with Chris and Andrea.  Someone mentioned the spanking machine (McGary tradition).  All the kids lined up and had fun whacking away!  Not often do you get the chance to spank your Dad or Uncle!
