End of School Year Fun
While the boys were at Father and Son’s us girls went out and did fun stuff! We went to a nursery and bought flowers for our front yard. Then we went to PF Chang’s for dinner. It was fun since neither of the girls had been there before.
Jenna and Alyssa finished up their level of Gymnastics. Jenna can move on from Tiny Tots 1 to Tiny Tots 2 but is taking a summer break. Alyssa moved from Shooting Stars to Level 2 Team. She is not taking a break this summer and is actually putting in a couple long hours a couple days every week. She goes 3 hours for 2 days. It is exhausting for her but she has fun and is going to improve so much this summer! She has the makeup of a gymnast! She is going to be short and she is flexible!
Melanie started (all on her own) a pet service while the owners are away on vacation. She got her first “client” named Charlie over Memorial Day weekend. This is fulfilling her desire to own a pet until we can get our own. She took Charlie on walks and made sure she had plenty of food and water. She did a great job! She is such an animal lover and I love that she thought of this all on her own by making fliers and taking them and posting them to people’s doors. A few days after watching Charlie she pet sat a cat next door for 3 days while they were gone. She was excited to have made $30 in a week!
We went to the Springville Splash pad and got some sun Memorial Day. The boys were tanning. Luckily they tan easily!
Cameron’s last full day of school they had “Mini Society”. Each 5th and 6th grade student got to pick something to “sell” to all the kids at school. They were outside all day. This year Cameron chose to sell hot dogs. He sold 100 hot dogs! With his fake money he put it all in to drawings that the 6th graders had. Unfortunately he didn’t win anything but he had a great experience and he found he really liked cooking hot dogs! Jenna also liked going as there were many things to choose from. She settled on hair chalk, a popsicle and cotton candy! It is like a big party all day outside of the school!
