Vacation to WA

David met me in WA Saturday night when I got back from girls weekend.  He drove 12 hours with all the kids, packed and got them all ready!  What a guy!!  We love to go to WA!  We love playing with our cousins and playing with Grandpa’s and Grandma’s!  We make a lot of memories every time we go!  We stayed with Melissa 2 days.  We went to Connell ward and swam all day Monday.  What a blast!  The kids REALLY want a pool now!  I love that there are so many cousins each of the kids’ ages.  No one is left out and someone always to play with!  Makes me so grateful for families!  So blessed to be a part of 2 great ones!!

Tuesday we played at my parent’s house.  Trisha came out with her kids, Alise was there and Tyson’s 3 kids were visiting and they came out that day.  We made a water blob, slip n’ slide, went water skiing and watched “Hotel Transylvania” outside.  Such a fun day outside!  We love summer!!

Wednesday we went to the Moses Lake Waterpark with a quick stop at the Country Mercantile for ice cream first.  The kids had fun playing with their cousins at the waterpark.  A lot of them spent most of their time riding the waves.

The 4th of July parade is the best around!  Candy, ice cream sandwiches, pop, water!  It is so fun and the parade was just the perfect length, short and sweet!  Grandpa took Clayton, Melanie, Bailie, Livy and Macy on the horses which they loved!  All they can talk about is being IN the Basin City Parade!  They love it!

On the way back to my parents we stopped at Grandma McGary’s grave.  Makes me shed a few tears every time!  Coming “home” is not the same without her!  We went and visited Grandpa one night.  It was good to see him.  He showed us his projects he was working on.  Always serving and building things for others.  He sent us home with a duck planter box.  He talked about his trip to Idaho he had.  He said it was his most favorite trip he has ever made there.  He went and visited a lot of his cousins and saw people he hasn’t seen in over 20 years.  He also went to a place that his ancestors lived and settled when they got called to move there from Utah.  He also talked about how much his family had been blessed for answering the call to serve their own mission and build the churches in the Basin area.  He got emotional talking about it.  He said that his 2 other brother’s also got asked to move and build other churches the same time Grandpa and Grandma did in different states and neither wanted to move.  He said “I hardly want to ask for anything because I know He will give it to me”.  It was touching to see so much faith from him.  Grandpa wasn’t usually the one for many words.  Grandma always took over that role.  I loved listening to him talk!
