Jason’s looses his first tooth

Image
Last month when Jason went to the dentist he found out he had 2 loose teeth in front.  Jason was pretty excited to hear that!  He has been working on it ever since.  Today it finally came out!  He didn’t let anyone else touch it.  He is a very determined boy and was proud of his work! When it looked like this I suggested bringing out the pliers. After about 1/2 an hour working on that thing going back and forth from pliers to fingers and still not out he decided he could eat lunch.  Two bites in and it was out!  A new surprise to show daddy when he gets home!

Hang on we are in it again...

Seems to be a recurring thing here lately. Just as we get adjusted and settled in change! David took a last minute trip over to the Philippines on Tuesday. It was a hectic morning. David's mom caught a shuttle from St. George Monday and had surgery on her eye Tuesday morning in Salt Lake. We were busy running around that morning getting everyone where they needed to be on time. I was glad Carol was here for a few days after David left. It filled up some of the time. It has been raining non stop since Tuesday and I am ready for SUN! I can see all new weeds popping up thanks to all this new moisture. I am grateful that I don't have to worry about watering the lawn though. David didn't have time to get the sprinkler system going before he left. So that is one relief! Plans for the next few weeks other than school: $1 theatre to see Gnomeo and Juliet, swimming at the rec center, plant our garden, 2 preschool graduations, park, Redbox movie night and anything else w...

It’s a Girl Thing

Image
Alyssa and Jenna are so much fun to have around the house all day long!  They keep me laughing at their cute personalities.  And as you can tell in the last few posts my girls like to wear their Easter outfits a LOT! Both Alyssa and Jenna love to put on my high heels and walk around in them.  Alyssa has been wanting to take dance class for a LONG time (probably her whole 3 years!)  So I made her a deal.  If she could stop sucking her finger I would put her in dance class.  Did that do the trick?  YES!  I can’t believe how well she is doing.  She does slip up every now and then but if she remembers or I remind her about dance class she immediately takes it out of her mouth.  I think she will be completely broken of the habit very soon. Jenna LOVES to talk on the telephone!  She puts it up to her ear and then holds the phone up with her shoulder, arm extended.  LOVE HER!!

Jogging it our for C. Peterson

A 6th grade teacher at Cameron and Melanie’s Elementary school was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's Disease.  So the school put on a 5k run fundraiser to earn money to help pay for some of the doctors bill.  We just walked around the block of our neighborhood.  We pushed Alyssa and Jenna in the stroller and by the end Jason ended up in it to.  Cameron, Melanie, David and I walked.  The kids had a lot of fun and didn’t complain at all.  They had a raffle at the end and I was so surprised when I heard Alyssa’s name called!  She got to go up and pick out of the things they had.  She chose the best thing of all in my opinion! It was a basket filled with delicious food from Great Harvest.  There was chocolate chip pumpkin bread, raisin bread, honey whole wheat bread, double chocolate scones, honey, berry jam and a bread knife!  It was SOOO delicious!  We devoured most of it that same day!! It was great to go and support Mr. Peterson and hi...

Cameron’s 3rd Grade Field Trip

Image
Cameron’s class went to the Red Butte Gardens in Salt Lake City for their field trip this year.  It was cold and muddy but fun.  It poured the day before and the trails were a muddy mess.  We were slipping all over the place in some spots!  We went with another 3rd grade class and we were split up into 4 different groups touring the gardens. The three boys I was in charge of:  Ben, Kenneth, Cameron ready to leave the school.  We started out in the gardens with paved trails.  Then we got to the real stuff.  I have been training for a marathon and that morning I did interval training with lots of stadium stairs.  My legs were dying when we got done hiking! Over looking the rushing water that was really high because of all the snow and rain we had gotten.   We saw this little squirrel running around.  He didn’t mind everyone watching.  He was used to visitors! Look at the water!  It comes to the top of the bridge! T...

Mother’s Day Weekend

Image
Saturday morning we got up bright and early and drove to downtown Salt Lake City for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Race for the Cure at 8:30.  Cameron and Melanie wanted to do it with me.  This was their first race.  There were so many people (16,000 +)!!!  We ran a little bit, but enjoyed walking with the majority there.  Pictures courtesy of KSL news: We are in that crowd somewhere!!  There were a lot of groups there supporting those who were survivors of breast cancer and also those who were not so fortunate.  It was great just to be there! We went out to IHOP afterwards for a late breakfast which was a lot of fun.  We don’t do that very often. Later I took the girls (Melanie and Alyssa) and we went and got pedicures.  David said we will have to make that a yearly tradition and I agree!   We loved it!   I got breakfast in bed this morning and was able to spend all morning getting ready and the kids ready without...

Melanie’s 1st Grade Field Trip

Image
(Melanie, Kambree and Jordan on the bus) Tuesday Melanie had her fieldtrip.  I have awesome neighbors who volunteered to watch my other 3 kids at home.  The kids BEGGED me to go on their fieldtrip with them.  I haven’t ever been because it is so hard with kids at home and especially babies.  I really wanted to go with them this year.  I am very grateful for the neighbors I have!!  We were put into groups and along with Melanie, Kambree and Jordan were in our group.  We had a blast together.  Cute girls!  Everyone says Melanie looks like me, and she does in a lot of ways.  But I think in elementary school...
