Oceanside, CA- Family Vacation (Thurs-Sat)

Thursday we went to LEGOLAND.  It was so great because the lines were short!  Some lines were about a 5-10 min. wait and others there was no wait at all!  It was so fun!  It was definitely geared towards the younger kids.  There were no teenagers at all.  It was great weather and we just loved everything about the park!boatbob the builderdavid on ridedinosaurdragoneatingIMG_2326IMG_2331 - CopyIMG_2338IMG_2346 - CopyIMG_2352 - CopyIMG_2357 - Copy - CopyIMG_2358 - Copy (2)IMG_2360 - CopyIMG_2369IMG_2379IMG_2383 - CopyIMG_2387IMG_2398IMG_2403

This was a skit that we watched.  It was very funny and one of the kids’ favorite parts of LEGOLAND.  I had to catch a picture of Cameron laughing because he was CRACKING UP watching it!

The park closed before we were ready to leave, 5 pm.  We still had smiles on our faces though!

Friday we had to be checked out of our place by noon.  So we packed up a little and then went down and enjoyed the pool one last time!  This was our only time during the day of swimming.  We swam every night after dark before the kids’ bedtime.  It was so much fun!  I did not want to get out and neither did the kids!  There was a hot tub, big pool and a pool that was great for Jason, Alyssa and Jenna.

After we got checked out we went down to the pier again.  It was a lot busier than Wednesday.  We talked about eating lunch at the restaraunt on the end of the pier when we went Wednesday.  So that is where we went.  It was fun and the kids liked the paper cars they got to put together.    IMG_2530IMG_2526

Then we walked over to the beach.  It got up to 78 degrees and we were basking in the sun!  The boys took off their shirts and were jumping the waves while the girls played in the sand and on the playground that was next to the ocean. IMG_2533IMG_2536IMG_2542IMG_2550IMG_2553oceanIMG_2532

The kids are showing their souvenirs that they got at the little shop on the pier.  We left at almost 4 pm and it was crazy rush hour traffic!  And the traffic didn’t stop until after we passed Las Vegas!  We got to David’s parents home in St. George at 2 am.  I told David I was ready for a vacation after this vacation!  It was tiring, but fun!!!

David and I went to the temple Saturday afternoon while his mom watched the kids.  We also snuck in a late lunch after.  It was rejuvenating to just be the two of us and we were ready to hit the road home after that!

This was the perfect vacation for our family!  I am so glad that we got to go!!
