Wallowa Lake Reunion in Pictures- August 2009

I finally got some pictures and now can put them on our blog! Our reunion this summer was so fun. This is the 2nd time going to Wallowa Lake for a McGary Family Reunion. We knew what to expect and we came prepared!! I love this picture of the huge chair with Grandma and Grandpa and the grand kids. I can't believe they have 16 grandchildren with 3 more on the way!!
Clayton, Olivia and Grandpa walking on the beach
Jason watching Alex and Clayton trying out the stilts and Brandon on the side.
These two got along so good this year! Melanie has grown out of the jealous stage and is okay to share grandma! Bailey and Melanie were inseparable!
One of the projects mom brought for the girls. They got to paint jewelry boxes and Alyssa was very determined to "do it herself!"
Painting their wooden models that Heather brought for the boys.
The little kids loved this wagon! Alyssa, Keenan and Olivia.
A ride on the tube. They loved this!
Alex, Clayton, Olivia, Noah, Cameron
Grandpa skiing! Wahoo!!
Grandma even tried out the stilts! Melanie had fun trying.

Family picture on the chair
Go carts!! Melanie with Grandma and Alyssa with mom.

Grandma brought beads for the girls to make bracelets and necklaces.
When I was a teenager we went camping once and dad cooked a turkey this way. Hanging from the sticks in the middle of lighted briquet's. It was the most moist turkey we ever ate. It was so good we all still remembered and had to have it again! The only problem was that the family was only 7 then and the turkey was a lot smaller. The cooking time took a lot longer and so luckily we had a b-b-quer and finished it on there. It was still super moist and DELICIOUS!!
Necklaces!
The gang on the beach watching the kids swim in the freezing water and getting some sun!
Heather, Seth, Becky, Colby and Elijah. Colby broke his collar bone the week before and was able to come. Otherwise he wouldn't have been able to get off of work! We were glad they came!
Looking at the cool bugs they caught in their bug barn.
Melanie, Alex, Cameron
Alyssa holding her cup they made with stickers all over.
Looking for bugs on the hill.
The dad's all went for a bike ride. The bikes that were brought up were fun for old and young!!
Grandpa came up with making a bug barn and net catchers for the boys' projects. They loved it and had a blast catching bugs all day. They even were trying to catch the squirrels that were around camp. You'd yell "Squirrel!" and 6 or 7 boys would go running after it! It was quite hilarious because they all really thought they would really catch one!
Snuggle time with grandma is always the best time!
Alyssa and Damon

We had such a great time and really owe my parents a lot for putting on most of the activities we did. They made sure there was something for everyone. Lots of memories to cherish. The kids had a blast and made some great memories with their cousins. That is what it is all about!
