Look Who's 2!!!

Happy Birthday, Alyssa!!

I cannot believe how time has flown. I just LOVE this little girl so much. When I was pregnant with Alyssa, David gave me a blessing and he blessed me that I would have the ability to love this other child. And that has come true. Alyssa has been so special to all of us! Cameron just dotes on her and she pretty much can get anything she wants. (I'm working on that!!) The other day I was standing at the top of our stairs looking down in to the kitchen. The kids were eating their otter pops and Alyssa looked up and said "Hi, Mom!" Two words do not come out of her mouth and so that was a surprise. She is picking up on new words all of the time and it's fun to see her learning.

Alyssa is the only baby, so far, to come out with blue, blue eyes and blonde, blonde hair. Yes, she is all daddy and he LOVES that! Her personality is HUGE and she likes attention and is hilarious to be around. She likes to show off. She also likes to be off doing what everyone else is doing. She LOVES to jump on the trampoline. She also loves her FINGER!!

I love you Alyssa. And I am so glad you chose to come to our family!!

SHe is so cute. Happy Birthday Alyssa! love the picture of her. HOw neat to go through the temple with your family. I would like to come out and do that also.

I can't wait for Grandma hugs, Alyssa! Save some for Grandpa and I. I'm sure you will have great memories of of your Lee reunion. Families are the best! We're glad you're part of our family!! See you soon!!

David, and two other guys he works with, were invited to the Jazz game last Friday night. I have come to find out as a construction wife, to get business, you gotta play A LOT ! Our New Family Pictures

I have been on the hunt for a really good photographer for a long time here and there.  And I think I found one that did everything I wanted.  First, she comes and looks at the feel of your home.  For us I just sent pictures of our living room where I wanted the pictures placed.  Then she suggests colors to wear and sent pictures back with our room and picture placements she puts on the walls.  And with 5 kids, especially Jenna, you really have to photo shop A LOT!!  Almost every photo with Jenna she had to photo shop.  She did amazing!!  I was so nervous when we went over and viewed our pictures at her house.  As David put it after our photo shoot “She has to be a magician to get anything good out of that!  That was a disaster!”  After looking at our proofs I said, “well, you are a magician!”  And David said after leaving and climbing in our car to go home “That was worth every penny.”  Success! Melanie’s Calling in Life

Two Days ago Melanie was getting ready to go out the door.  She had her coat and was looking for her other jacket.  I asked her why she needed it when she already had her coat on.  She said she was going to take it to her friend at school, Humana, because she wears 3 jackets and doesn’t have a coat.  5 minutes later Melanie asked me “Mom, can we buy Humana a coat?”  I had already been thinking about that but told Melanie I would look while I was out to see if I could find one.  I went to 3 different stores to look!  Winter coats in that size are hard to find these days!  But I finally found something at Walmart and got gloves and a hat.  My friend, Angela, who drove carpool that morning called me while I was out looking.  She called worried because Melanie had said on the way to school that her friend didn’t have a coat and was sleeping on the floor.  I told her I knew about the coat and was getting one but Melanie hadn’t mentioned ...
