Melanie’s Baptism
Today Melanie was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! I am so proud that Melanie has chosen this important step in her life! And so grateful that her Dad could baptize her!
The family that was there to support Melanie. My parents brought down Melanie’s cousins that are closest to her in age, Bailey and Kate Lynn. She was so happy they came!
This was her display table. Those that were there signed in her journal. I am so happy I have this beautiful picture of Melanie at this time in her life! I think it is so important, especially after having my children’s pictures on the wall, that each child has a beautiful picture of themselves! I know each of my children love to see them.
The kids sang a special musical number with their cousin Bailey and Kate Lynn. Another girl was there and wanted to sing with them during the practice!
Melanie’s 2nd grade Teacher, Ms. Sayers was there to support her! Melanie was so happy to see her! She is so sweet and always speaks so highly of Melanie.
Our old neighbors from West Jordan, the Bolinders, came and supported Melanie. She was so excited to see them! It was also fun for Alyssa because her friend Grace was there too!
Melanie’s piano teacher, Darlene Day came and she said it just made her day that Melanie would think to invite her! She was so happy when I asked to get a picture with Melanie.
Melanie’s friends and cousins that came to support her on her special day!

After the baptism all were invited to come and have a light brunch at our home. We had fruit kabobs, chocolate chip pumpkin bread, poppyseed bread, mini cinnamon rolls and yogurt with granola. It was delicious!

Lots of playing for these cute girls once they changed and got comfortable!
We celebrated Melanie’s birthday late (I was waiting until this day) and went to “Jump On It”. And we JUMPED a LOT!!
Almost 2 hours of jumping and then we were ready to go home! We finished off the night by getting pizza and a movie “Puss In Boots”. Such a fun, special day!
