BEST.DAY.EVER
Alyssa turned 4 on the 20th. Oh my goodness where is the time going? The Young Women had a silent auction to earn money to girls camp and among one of the things we bought was a birthday planner. Kaylee (also one of our babysitters) came and helped plan, put together the invitations, was here to assist at the party and she did awesome!
This is the invitation she created with her mom:
Monday I got a babysitter and took Alyssa out to lunch to Red Robin. Then we headed over to the mall and went to Build-A-Bear. She picked out a kitty and had so much fun picking out an outfit. Just like what she would have worn if they were for her! Then we went over to Claire’s and she picked out a new pink purse, lip gloss and a hair brush. She was feeling so good by this point! Then we went to Children’s Place and she got a new birthday outfit. It was a fun afternoon! She also got to open one present that night. It was a matching dress for her and her American Girl Doll.
Tuesday was her big party. The fun started at 10 AM when this showed up!
Birthday parties just went up a notch at this house. A princess bounce house with a built in slide. They put a soaker house at the top of the slide and I attached a hose and turned it into a slip and slide, which was perfect because it was so hot that day! The kids played and played and played all day on that thing! I invited a friend over with her 4 kids to come play before the party started and Cameron had a friend come over too.
At 2 o’clock Alyssa’s Birthday party started. They colored Tangled pictures, followed yellow yarn around the house to find rhinestones and stickers along the way and ended with princess crowns on the bed. They got to decorate their crowns with all the stickers they found.
Then Alyssa opened her birthday presents and .
I bought new candles and didn’t realize they were the ones that relight when you blow them out. Alyssa blew and blew and blew and blew some more. Melanie even got in on the action!
After eating cake the girls got their swimsuits on and went outside. They got to let off their yellow “lanterns” just like on Tangled.
Then we let them loose on the most popular part of the party! The girls had a blast and it was so helpful to have Kaylee there to help out in the water!
I think Alyssa felt special for 2 days. She is so fun in our home and has the most fun personality! She is ALL girl strutting around in a skirt, with a purse filled with “wipstick”. She loves to look pretty and if her hair isn’t combed she always has a flower she puts in to the top of her hair all by herself and will come down stairs and with her hand on her hip say “I’m ready!” Love you Alyssa!! Happy 4th Birthday!!
