Jenna turns 1 year old

My how the time flies! Especially when your whole life is in mostly a whole year! Jenna has been so much fun lately. I will contribute it to the fact that she now has 6 teeth finally in after working on them for the last 6 months! It was been hard work!! And I think a break is needed from teething by her and I!

*Jenna has started walking more. She now thinks about walking if she wants something first and then will crawl the rest of the way.

*She has the best smile and gets lots of compliments on it.

*SPOILED, yes I said it!

*Likes to be in where the action is.

*Still nurses. I have made it to her year mark and now it’s time to wean. Easier said than done by this point! She is a mommy lover!

*LOVES, LOVES, LOVES oranges! If you are peeling an orange for her she will scream letting you know she wants it until it is on her tray. Patience is not her!

*Petite. Smallest of my babies.

*Likes to be with Daddy.

*Still wakes up at least one time. I will say that the teething and still in our bedroom has to do with some of this. She slept through the night from months 2-6. Then the teeth started!

*Kids adore her! Melanie is a good sister to her, taking her where ever I want and notices when I need a break and taking her to play.

*Has 2 favorite fuzzy pink blankets she cuddles with while sucking on her lower lip. It's really cute!

We are so happy she is in our family and we decided to have #5. Hard at times with 5 children, yes, but so glad she is ours forever!

David, and two other guys he works with, were invited to the Jazz game last Friday night. I have come to find out as a construction wife, to get business, you gotta play A LOT ! Here is a short list, not limited to, of what I mean by "play": Golfing (about 3 times a week-depending on the week and in warm weather of course) Snow skiing (about 2 times a week, again this depends on the week and when there's snow) Fancy dinners (this can also be counted as lunch, which happens more than I know I'm sure!) Our New Family Pictures

I have been on the hunt for a really good photographer for a long time here and there.  And I think I found one that did everything I wanted.  First, she comes and looks at the feel of your home.  For us I just sent pictures of our living room where I wanted the pictures placed.  Then she suggests colors to wear and sent pictures back with our room and picture placements she puts on the walls.  And with 5 kids, especially Jenna, you really have to photo shop A LOT!!  Almost every photo with Jenna she had to photo shop.  She did amazing!!  I was so nervous when we went over and viewed our pictures at her house.  As David put it after our photo shoot “She has to be a magician to get anything good out of that!  That was a disaster!”  After looking at our proofs I said, “well, you are a magician!”  And David said after leaving and climbing in our car to go home “That was worth every penny.”  Success! Melanie’s Calling in Life

Two Days ago Melanie was getting ready to go out the door.  She had her coat and was looking for her other jacket.  I asked her why she needed it when she already had her coat on.  She said she was going to take it to her friend at school, Humana, because she wears 3 jackets and doesn’t have a coat.  5 minutes later Melanie asked me “Mom, can we buy Humana a coat?”  I had already been thinking about that but told Melanie I would look while I was out to see if I could find one.  I went to 3 different stores to look!  Winter coats in that size are hard to find these days!  But I finally found something at Walmart and got gloves and a hat.  My friend, Angela, who drove carpool that morning called me while I was out looking.  She called worried because Melanie had said on the way to school that her friend didn’t have a coat and was sleeping on the floor.  I told her I knew about the coat and was getting one but Melanie hadn’t mentioned ...
