Thanksgiving in St. George

So this is late in coming but we have been so busy this last week, well mostly David, so I have been patiently waiting for him to help me download pictures off our NEW CAMERA!! Yes, Santa came early this year. Just in time to capture photos of our new baby! And the holidays of course.
We went to St. George for Thanksgiving to spend it with David's parents and his brother, Tony. It was so much fun and a much needed break from our own home! Here is a run down of some of the things we did there. We went to the lighting of the St. George Temple. David took the picture of the temple with the sun setting as we were walking up. It was so gorgeous!
Tony took Cameron on a lizard hunt up behind their house where there are trails. Cameron came home so excited because they actually caught one! Well, they killed it in the process of catching it but it didn't matter to Cameron one bit. He was so proud of that lizard they caught. They were gone for several hours turning over every rock and kicking every bush along the way. I must thank Tony for being so patient. I knew Cameron was going to come home broken hearted if he didn't get one! The kids watched the movie "UP" several times on Thanksgiving day and I guess Cameron thought he needed an adventure book also! He taped the dead lizard to his first page of adventures.
Family pictures in the back yard.

We went fishing at the man made pond that is stocked with fish. The kids loved it of course.

We also went to the Tuacahn Theatre and watched the live nativity at the amphitheatre there. We couldn't resist taking pictures of our faces in the holes! Chuck and Carol:
David and Kira:
Santa was even there! Alyssa was really scared so we quickly got a picture and grabbed the candy cane!

On the train ride around the theatre.
Ready to go!
In front of the train. Alyssa was scared again!
It was so much fun to get away for 4 days and relax. We love to have grandpa and grandma so close and only a few hours away!

That looks like so much fun. I miss being closer to family and friends. We've made friends here but it just seems like they are so busy and so are we that we never do anything.
