The Stockings Were Hung...Finally

Project Finished and it feels good! I really wanted names on them so I asked around the ward and found someone who's mom has a machine that does lettering. Yeah! So she was so nice and did them all for me for FREE!! One day I am going to have a machine that does more than a straight stitch and a zig zag stitch. Just glad to have them done and the kids love them so that makes me happy!

**I did make a stocking for the baby, but David won't let me hang it until it's official! Good thing when we made this board last year we pounded an extra nail!

Good job Kira! I love them, so cute. I also really like the colors you used.
You stockings are darling. I love them. I wanted to engrave names or at least initials too but didn't leave enough room at the top....I'm still learning. The picture of the temple is gorgeous. Great job David!!! I love the Tuacahn Theatre. Actually I love St. George. I'm constantly asking Brian to move there. :) Looks like you had a great trip. I was thinking you might be in WA for Christmas but then I looked at your countdown and realized you're on the home stretch for the baby to come. How exciting! Good luck with everything.

I love the stockings! Once we are done having kids I am determined to make stockings but because I am not a sewer I will only attempt it one time.
LOVE LOVE LOVE your stockings. Take a close up picture so I can see each of them! So cute! Did you make those this year? They are so darling! How did you do those snowflakes????
Just read an earlier post that you did make the stockings this year...LOVE it all. I bought fabric to make quilted stockings back in UT when we were living in your house...still haven't gotten around to it. Now I have changed my mind on what I want....crafting is a blessing and a curse I agree!
So are the snowflakes just ironed on or did you secure them by handstitching or very patient machine work????

Kira, you did so well. Yours look a lot more professional than mine. You are so good at crafts! I'm excited you got a nice camera. All your pictures look so nice with that camera! I still need to cut your hair, call me when you have time to get it done.

I love your stockings!!!! I also love the board. That's such a great idea. We have a wood stove but no mantle to hang our stockings and nothing else in our house works for hanging them. I have a friend who makes boards, I should have her show me how and do something similar for hanging our stockings.

Those turned out so wonderful-I love how the parent socks are a bit bigger than the rest-mom and dad deserve more treats for the big jobs they have, dont they??!!

I love them Kira!!!!! You are amazing. Having a baby in a few weeks and completing stockings??!!!!! Nothing like an impending deadline!! That is my motto for sure. It sure does make a difference! I love them so much. Somedaay I want to make matching stockings, and sooner than that I need a board to hang them on. Talk to you soon!!!! Good luck with new baby!
