Birthday Fun

David has been working like a dog the past month and all he wanted was a day with me! Yay!! I thought that was a great idea and thank you Chris and mostly Andrea (the mom does all the work!) for watching our kids ALL day on Saturday.

Our plans were to go to the temple in the morning after dropping off the kids and when we drove up to the temple is was closed for cleaning for 2 weeks. So that was a bummer! We had a couple's massage at Massage Envy. That was the first for either of us. I would recommend it to anyone!! I would go have one done any day again!!We did some shopping and then got ready for our night on the town. We went to dinner here-
Always fabulous and delicious!! Then we went to an excellent concert by Jon Schmidt who is an AMAZING pianist and entertainer!! We will go again next year! It was so much fun. Words can't describe sometimes the feelings of a perfect night! Here we are all dressed up!
Sunday afternoon my neighbor came over for a quick photo shoot. This was an outside shot, quite freezing!!Tonight we did cheese cake and gifts. The kids LOVED it! They love their daddy so much and are always so excited to see him when he's home.
Bringing back memories for David throwing the football with his boys like David did with his dad. Thanks to David's parents for the football! He also got a train fom his parents that I will take pictures of when it's all set up!!
WOW, 30!! Seems so far away for me, but so close also. I'm just glad that birthdays role around every year to celebrate the special day with the one's you love! Happy Birthday, David!!

i know i sent your card. strange. i remember especially because i had addressed "The Lee Family" on so many I was laughing! your pictures are darling. i will send a new one if you don't get it. that is weird. maybe i have your address wrong?!?!?! Pebblecrest Way??? I would have to double check the number but it is the same one i have used in the past for everything else. i hope you have gotten the other things i have mailed in the past.....weird. sorry. i really didn't forget you!!! :)

David, and two other guys he works with, were invited to the Jazz game last Friday night. I have come to find out as a construction wife, to get business, you gotta play A LOT ! Our New Family Pictures

I have been on the hunt for a really good photographer for a long time here and there.  And I think I found one that did everything I wanted.  First, she comes and looks at the feel of your home.  For us I just sent pictures of our living room where I wanted the pictures placed.  Then she suggests colors to wear and sent pictures back with our room and picture placements she puts on the walls.  And with 5 kids, especially Jenna, you really have to photo shop A LOT!!  Almost every photo with Jenna she had to photo shop.  She did amazing!!  I was so nervous when we went over and viewed our pictures at her house.  As David put it after our photo shoot “She has to be a magician to get anything good out of that!  That was a disaster!”  After looking at our proofs I said, “well, you are a magician!”  And David said after leaving and climbing in our car to go home “That was worth every penny.”  Success! Melanie’s Calling in Life

Two Days ago Melanie was getting ready to go out the door.  She had her coat and was looking for her other jacket.  I asked her why she needed it when she already had her coat on.  She said she was going to take it to her friend at school, Humana, because she wears 3 jackets and doesn’t have a coat.  5 minutes later Melanie asked me “Mom, can we buy Humana a coat?”  I had already been thinking about that but told Melanie I would look while I was out to see if I could find one.  I went to 3 different stores to look!  Winter coats in that size are hard to find these days!  But I finally found something at Walmart and got gloves and a hat.  My friend, Angela, who drove carpool that morning called me while I was out looking.  She called worried because Melanie had said on the way to school that her friend didn’t have a coat and was sleeping on the floor.  I told her I knew about the coat and was getting one but Melanie hadn’t mentioned ...
