Once there was a Snowman...

Look at our fun soccer games we went to yesterday that started out with snow and then just plain cold! We opted to stay in the car while David watched Cameron, and I went out with Melanie for her game while David stayed in the car-












This morning the kids were so excited to wake up to SNOW this morning before church!! First snow day, what fun for the kids!!

oh my gosh - i can't believe you have snow!! It's been cold here the last few days - but I don't think we'll be expecting snow anytime soon!

Man, we were supposed to have snow but it didn't happen but that is fine with me! Where do you guys live again, must be Utah? I am not ready for snow because last year we got 3 feet in like 2 days and altogether I think we got 7 feet the whole winter but most of it was in 2 months..GRRR! And your car looks way to clean by the way!

Fun.....but ugh!!! I love the fall and I'm not quite ready for the slushy messy snow. I love it immediately after but then it gets dirty and cold. It has just been bitter in Vernal but no moisture yet.

oh the joys. I am not a snow lover so i am grateful it is coming to you and not here. I guess it's not the snow that I dislike it is the cold weather. Enjoy it!:)

David, and two other guys he works with, were invited to the Jazz game last Friday night. I have come to find out as a construction wife, to get business, you gotta play A LOT ! Our New Family Pictures

I have been on the hunt for a really good photographer for a long time here and there.  And I think I found one that did everything I wanted.  First, she comes and looks at the feel of your home.  For us I just sent pictures of our living room where I wanted the pictures placed.  Then she suggests colors to wear and sent pictures back with our room and picture placements she puts on the walls.  And with 5 kids, especially Jenna, you really have to photo shop A LOT!!  Almost every photo with Jenna she had to photo shop.  She did amazing!!  I was so nervous when we went over and viewed our pictures at her house.  As David put it after our photo shoot “She has to be a magician to get anything good out of that!  That was a disaster!”  After looking at our proofs I said, “well, you are a magician!”  And David said after leaving and climbing in our car to go home “That was worth every penny.”  Success! Melanie’s Calling in Life

Two Days ago Melanie was getting ready to go out the door.  She had her coat and was looking for her other jacket.  I asked her why she needed it when she already had her coat on.  She said she was going to take it to her friend at school, Humana, because she wears 3 jackets and doesn’t have a coat.  5 minutes later Melanie asked me “Mom, can we buy Humana a coat?”  I had already been thinking about that but told Melanie I would look while I was out to see if I could find one.  I went to 3 different stores to look!  Winter coats in that size are hard to find these days!  But I finally found something at Walmart and got gloves and a hat.  My friend, Angela, who drove carpool that morning called me while I was out looking.  She called worried because Melanie had said on the way to school that her friend didn’t have a coat and was sleeping on the floor.  I told her I knew about the coat and was getting one but Melanie hadn’t mentioned ...
