Alise's family came to visit last week on their way through to CA. It was fun for them to come and hang out for a few days. Here are a few pictures of Keenan and Alyssa playing outside.

Cameron came home from school 2 days ago so excited he had another tooth loose! He was ready for me to pull it out with floss then and I said he had to wait. I also new it wasn't quite ready to be pulled yet. And David agreed. So yesterday Cameron came home again from school and it was even more loose. He must have been wiggling it all day. No flossing string in the house. Cameron was bummed. So at bedtime David suggested he bite down on an apple really hard. He didn't think Cameron would really do that! But he did!! He was chomping down on an apple so hard over and over again. When David asked to see it, the tooth was sticking straight out. One hard yank from dad and it was over. When I went upstairs Cameron was dreaming of all the money the tooth fairy was going to bring him. "Maybe it'll be $15!! Or maybe $10!! I said, "maybe a $1 or even $.25." Cameron came out with "or maybe $20!!!" Yeah, keep dreaming buddy. He woke up this ...
Jason's Surgery
Last week Jason went in and had tubes put in his ears and adenoids taken out. He had to be there at 7 am. Luckily the hospital is just down the road. The same place I am delivering this next baby! Jason woke up kind of cranky. When I took him back and got him dressed in the hospital gown he was not at all interested in wearing that! It's a good thing I tied it on tight! Doesn't he look so happy? Jason wouldn't even hardly look at the doctors and nurses that came in and talked to him and explained things to me. So after about 45 mins. in the back waiting, they took Jason back to surgery room. I got to go back there and help move him on to the really skinny bed for surgery. They had me put on scrubs too! When they put the mask over Jason's face he just started freaking out! That was hard for me not to cry. Luckily he was crying and inhaling a lot of the gas and went to sleep in like a minute. I then left and went to my own individual waiting room. I was ...
Our Day
Well, as promised to the kids when they filled up their bingo chore chart they get to go out for a date with Dad. All 3 of them finished and so I thought maybe "UP" was in the $1 theatre and it'd be a fun family trip. We were going to go on Labor Day, but quick plans to St. George delayed it. So we went today! The kids loved it! Unfortunately it was just the kids and I. David was busy working today and I would have waited until next Saturday, but he is working then too. So, off we went. We stopped at Baskin Robbins and filled up on ice cream with our coupons we got in the mail a bit ago (thanks Mikaela!) and then headed to the theatre. For a $1.25 each, it was well worth it! When we got out we went to see David working at his side job. One of the mills that David's boss owns is located right across the street from the entrance to the fair grounds. The parking lot is HUGE and can park a ton of cars. At $5 a car, it becomes quite a good amount!! I couldn...
Appointment with the Ear/Nose/Throat Dr.
I took Jason in to the specialist to get his ears checked out. Why does it seem mandatory that you sit in the waiting room for 30 minutes and then another 30 minutes waiting in the room for the doctor? Anyways, the prognosis. The ear drum in his left ear is sunken in farther than normal. So he probably isn't hearing as well in that ear. The dr. said the pressure in the ear should be around -100 and Jason's is -250 in that ear drum. He probably has 5-10% hearing loss, but that can be reversed. In a week Jason will get tubes put in his ears. They will also look at his adenoids in surgery and those might come out also due to the constant runny nose he seems to have. I am really hoping that these will help with the problems he has and hopefully get to looking a lot healthier. I can see it in his eyes when he is sick! I'm also hoping his speech will improve with this surgery. They will do a hearing test when the tubes come out. Hopefully this winter we aren't goi...
Quick trip to St. George
Our family decided last minute Sunday night to go to St. George to visit David's parents. I am so glad we went. We left at 8 pm and got there at midnight. Traveling at night, for a short time, is perfect because the kids sleep most of the way! We went hiking up some cool red rock and had an absolutely stunning view of St. George and the temple. The kids did pretty well. Jason was completely terrified to go up and he was screaming most of the way while David carried him. Then he settled down once he was on top. Next time we will bring our hiking shoes! Sandals aren't the best for climbing. After lunch we went and swam at the pool in their community. No one else was there and so it felt like our very own! Cameron and Melanie got to practice some more of their swimming skills and Alyssa and Jason mostly stayed in the wading pool part. It was so relaxing! We left at 8:30 that night and got home late as well. I'm exhausted today, but so glad we got to go! Thank y...
Tiger
While mowing the lawn out front this morning the kids were outside riding their bikes and playing. When I got done and put all the bikes back in the garage, I shut the garage and came in the house. As usual, I don't watch the door shut all of the way. I was doing stuff inside the house for about 20 minutes before I remembered to get something out of the van. When I went in the garage I heard the cat screaming and I knew immediately the garage door had shut on the cat. Since the van was in the way, I couldn't see him. I opened the door and here comes Tiger walking out from under the van with it's two back legs dragging. I thought "oh no, he's broken his legs!!" And so what do I do? I call David! Yes, I am a sissy when it comes to these things and so I just came in the house and waited for David to come home from work, to scared to go look! I do not handle these things very well, I don't know why but I don't. So David was so nice and drove 30...
